To get April Montgomery on the ballot, we need your signature!
Rules
North Carolina statute sets these requirements for candidates to be added to the General Election ballot:

Petitioners must collect signatures representing 4% of the registered voters in their district. For District 51, this is approximately 2,275 signatures from voters in Lee and Moore counties.

Your signature must match your voter registration card.

All signatures must be in ink. No electronic signatures or photocopies will count.

No one may sign on behalf of another person.
​

If collecting signatures, make sure Lee County and Moore County signatures are on separate sheets, as the sheets are sent to separate county boards for verification.
Important Dates
To sign the petition

Print the signature page for the county in which you reside: Lee or Moore. Can't print one? Provide your contact information here and we'll get one to you.

Sign the petition in ink using the signature that matches your voter registration card.

Encourage friends, family members, coworkers, etc., who reside in your county to sign, as well. Sending them the link to this website is a great way to share April's message.

Return the original signature page by mail or request a pick-up.

Remember - no photocopies or electronic signatures, so the signature pages cannot be scanned for email.
